The Knife Sharpening Process

There are a number of steps that your knives or tools passes through before it is considered wickedly Sharp.

Thorough assessment - Every knife and tool is thoroughly assessed to determine exactly what is needed to make it Wickedly Sharp. This ensures you are only paying for the work that needs to be done.

Each knife and tool is sharpened by hand - this means that only the minimum amount off steel is removed from your knife or tool, maximising its longevity.

Assessment - paper cut test and microscopic inspection, felt pen feel.

Angle set is determined - according to manufacturers recommendations and/or what the knife or tool is used for. To within +/-0.10 degrees (for knives).

Edge is sharpened and or restored - up to nine different git stones are used to create a wickedly sharp edge.

Cleaned - the knife is cleaned with isopropyl alcohol to remove steel filings, marks, oils off the knife. 

Re-assessed - to ensure that the knife or tool is Wickedly Sharp. 

Only when it is Wickedly sharp, according to our high standards, is it returned to you.

Global Knife with  moderate to deep edge damage

Same knife after edge restoration using 50, 80, 100, 200 grit diamond stones and then sharpening and polishing with 400, 600, 800, 1000, 1500 diamond stones.
